In an engineering project (say for a mall) when can the company put up a website (mainly for advertising)?
Can it be done before building permits are cleared?

Is posting the wrong business hours false advertising?
My wife wants a Martha Stewart Bistro set for her birthday. Well the retailer that carries them has on their website that they are open until 10 on Saturday nights. After calling and checking i managed to locate a set at a store over an hour away. I drove all the way there and arrived at 9:08 just to find the hours posted there is 9:00 and that they were closed. I really want to know if they are required to compensate me for fuel and time now that i am going to have to make a second trip today. They are the only retailer that carries this product.

Yea! I've seen it....I thought maybe it was just me. Here in Atlanta, we would get someone coming by maybe once every few months, now it's like 3 times a week. And they won't take a polite, no thank you for an answer, they'll just keep up with their sales pitch, so I just end up closing the door on them.....it's like....what part of "NO" don't they understand?
I had a guy just the other day trying to sell me doors & windows, when I said "no thank you" he wanted to know why? Wanted to know why? Excuse me but thats none of their business, why. And when I told him that, he called me a "jerk" and walked away. I would have called the company to complain but I didn't even know what company he worked for. I think some of these companies that use to call on the phone are realizing that people just hang up or don't answer, so now their sending people out.
Our police said on the TV that if you see a door to door sales person; call them to check the person and their business out.
The police said better safe than sorry; and help them stop the Gypsy Scammers; the reason being too many Gyspsy scam teams hitting our city.
The scammers have many scams, most involved house repair; they take deposits, maybe do some demolition and leave it like that or maybe they do a very very poor job and then leave.
While some others have to do with magazine sales.
And some have to do with robbing mailboxes while they go door to door pretending to sell something, (they are compileing identity thieft informations from those mailboxes).
Our weather here is still a bit wintry, so we haven't had those door 2 door people, not yet anyways.
I'm not surprised though with them getting more pushy, with the economy the way it is, and probably more of these guys have been laid-off their normal jobs and are doing this kind of work just to get by. They have no idea what customer service or being polite means.

A QUESTION FOR BUSINESS MEN?
Well I'm the first one in literally my entire family to be in a professional industry, and while I still am studying, I know I'm not far from working for a company. My question is what kind of suits do business men wear (like stripe or what colour?) Should I have more than one so I'm not wearing the same one everyday? And also should I have a different tie for each day? Sorry it might seem dumb, but I've never been around or have any knowledge about this sort of thing. Thanks!

Do all parcels have a tracking number when sent by Royal Mail?
I sent a parcel by Standard Parcel Post that has not been received. I am now being asked for a tracking number by Paypal as my buyer has escalated a claim against me for non-receipt. I do have the receipt for the parcel.

Is PacSun really closing?
I've looked at wa whole bunch of sites, and they either say they're closing all stores, or just a lot. But the thing is, most of these posts or sites were updates in '08. The one I just looked at was posted in May and it said they would all be closed by December. Well I have an option of two malls that I can go to when I want, and the PacSun in both of them is still open. And neither of the stores have signs up in the window saying they're gonna close? GM controlled by government?
I understand the ramifications of the government bailouts, and the fact the government is actually part owners of the companies now. However, that is bothering me quite a bit. Historically the government has "bailed out" industries without going in and telling them how to take care of their business.
The fact that Mr. Obama wanted the GM exec to resign is troublesome to me. Maybe this exec is not the right man to heal the company, but is it the president's job to take over? When did we cease to be a democracy and free enterprise? Does anyone else notice the dangers of what just happened?
Our government is piling serious problems on top of serious problems. What needs to be done to solve the issue of government control like this? However, it not government control. It Obama control. That is frightening!

The foreign car manufacturers began making fuel efficient cars a long time before the gas hike. The American car industry concentrated on the "Soccer Moms" of the U.S. and focused on gas-guzzling SUVs and Trucks. Thus when gas prices climbed to $4/gallon, people rid themselves of the 13 mpg Explorer and traded in for a 35 mpg Prius or Honda.
That's only one of the issues. Cheap parts and ripping off the American customers was another. Poor management within the industry another...the UAW another, etc, etc, etc...

The American car industry concentrated on the "Soccer Moms" of the U.S. and focused on gas-guzzling SUVs and Trucks. Thus when gas prices climbed to $4/gallon, people rid themselves of the 13 mpg Explorer and traded in for a 35 mpg Prius or Honda.
That's only one of the issues. Cheap parts and ripping off the American customers was another. Poor management within the industry another...the UAW another, etc, etc, etc...
because without the car industry there will be no oil industry and without the oil industry, the monster we call America will collapse causing all the blood and money hungry C.E.O's to go on a killing spree thus causing Armageddon
Do note that Toyota is now on life support from the Japanese government too. All the car makers were hit by sales drying up from the credit crunch.

It means that a cooperative enterprise can only sell to its members. Since the number of members is normally fixed, the business can only grow by selling more to each member. That is not much growth potential.
