I want to apply for this warehouse job starting at $18.00 an hour, but it says company confidential. Why do I see a lot of job offerings where this is the case?
The company doesn't want to advertise that they are hiring.
Sometimes it is because the person that you'd be replacing doesn't know they are being fired.
It can also help with people just walking in off the street looking for a job they saw advertised.
If the company calls you for an interview, then you'll know who they are and can do some research on them.
