I understand the ramifications of the government bailouts, and the fact the government is actually part owners of the companies now. However, that is bothering me quite a bit. Historically the government has "bailed out" industries without going in and telling them how to take care of their business.
The fact that Mr. Obama wanted the GM exec to resign is troublesome to me. Maybe this exec is not the right man to heal the company, but is it the president's job to take over? When did we cease to be a democracy and free enterprise? Does anyone else notice the dangers of what just happened?
Our government is piling serious problems on top of serious problems. What needs to be done to solve the issue of government control like this? However, it not government control. It Obama control. That is frightening!
Remember: Obama constantly said he was for "change". Well, he never defined it, and no one asked him.
Now, we get to see what Change means.
My suggestion to you, turn off Rush Limbaugh. President Obama isn't in charge of GM and it's the board of directors who are asking the chairman to step down.
eventualy the govt. will have to step in
