Walmart is having meetings to scare employees away from unions in regards to a new bill in Congress?

Employee free choice act (EFCA). Someone at work said that if you sign a union card, then the union can take out dues from your paycheck immediately (before the union is certified?). I don't think this is true. Does anyone know for sure?

No. Unless you a member of the Union, they can not take money out of your paycheck. But if the Union is ratified, they certainly will.

Unions are not an ideal situation. I do not know of a union that deals impartially. It is always about grabbing more for themselves. Is this a good thing when it hurts the company and consequently the employees themselves?
